Real expertise.
Real credibility.

This isn't one person's opinion on ibogaine. It's built with a biologist, a neuroscientist, a psychotherapist, an integration coach, and a combat veteran who's lived through treatment himself — brought together so you get the complete picture, not a fragment of it.

Haley Chamberlain Nelson

Science Journalist
B.S. Biology Television Host Published Author

Haley Chamberlain Nelson is a biologist, author, television host, and science communicator who specializes in making complex scientific subjects accessible and engaging. She earned a degree in biology from the College of Charleston and has written, hosted, and produced extensive educational programming for Untamed Science, including hosting Smithsonian Channel's Bug Bites. She is also the co-author of Mother Nature Is Not Trying to Kill You.

Haley's interest in psychedelic medicine began in 2020 while producing a documentary-style investigation of ketamine therapy. That experience inspired a broader commitment to helping people explore psychedelic healing with accurate information, thoughtful preparation, and an honest understanding of both benefits and risks.

Ibogaine sits at the intersection of neuroscience, psychotherapy, addiction medicine, and lived experience. So we brought in people who live in each of those worlds.

Supervising Physician
Medical Doctor Somatic Experiencing

A medical doctor who is also a Gestalt therapist with a specialization in Somatic Experiencing — a combination that lets him hold both sides of ibogaine treatment at once, the cardiac monitor and the person attached to it.

As supervising physician at IbogaQuest, one of the longest-running ibogaine centers in the world, he oversees preparation and detox and remains on-site throughout the treatment week. He serves on both the medical and therapeutic teams, and treats the weeks of tapering beforehand as part of the work itself, not a formality to clear before it starts.
